Samsung Galaxy S20 vs Samsung Note 20 Comparison

Samsung Galaxy S20 vs Note 20

The Samsung Note 20 and Samsung S20 smartphones are quite similar in terms of design and performance (e.g. camera and processor), but there are differences between them, each of which caters to a particular kind of user. To make the right choice, find out below what the specificities of these two quality device are.

Samsung Note 20, an intuitive S Pen

The Samsung Note 20's screen is 6.7 inches, where it's 6.9 inches for the S20. It's not a huge difference, and really the only big difference between the two screens is the rounded edges on the Samsung Note 20. The materials used to design the back are different though. The Note 20 has a polycarbonate plastic, and the S20s back is made of glass. Fingerprints are therefore more visible on the latter device.

In terms of photography, the similarities are once again at large. You benefit equally in both models with a main 12 MP camera, an optical x3 zoom of 64 MP and a wide-angle of 12 MP.

The Samsung Note 20 is also equipped with a stylus, the S Pen, which is improved and  more responsive than it was previously. It also benefits from fast charging technology, which is not the case with the S20.

Samsung S20, a great value for money

While the screens look similar at first glance, the Samsung S20's screen has a refresh rate of 120Hz, compared to the Note 20's 60Hz. This gives it an advantage in terms of fluidity, which you'll definitely appreciate if you play fast-paced games.

On the other hand, it loses its lead in terms of storage. It has a base 128 GB of storage, compared to 256 GB for the Note 20. Finally, this smartphone stands out for its price, which is generally several dozen pounds cheaper than the Note 20.

The Samsung Note 20 is distinguished by the presence of a stylus and a respectable base storage capacity of 256 GB. It is therefore ideally suited to professional use. It is also more recent and still supports the latest updates from the brand. The S20, on the other hand, benefits from a refresh rate that is twice as high. It is therefore perfectly suited for all types of graphical use, including the most demanding games.
