Is already the third refurbished Samsung I buy via Back Market (always as a spare device, for when the one in use breaks down). Nice and fast delivery and cheap. Back Market acts as a kind of straw man: the device came from France, so without VAT. (So I couldn't deduct it from the VAT return either, but that's not so bad because it was cheap anyway).

The condition of the phone is impeccable, like new. My old phone was already refurbished, so I wasn't worried. I was dreading giving up my Samsung S7 but I don't regret it at all. I love the S8! I haven't lost anything, everything works the same, only better ;) (except for the misplaced fingerprint recognition)

A little better than my old S7 Edge, also refurbished via Back Market, which I trust completely.

Concerning the product: estimated good condition, that's true, but nothing more (I've already had better for this "grade"). Delivery: "minimum service" packaging (kraft envelope in a cardboard box). The only item supplied was the charging cable. So, in the end, you get a decent product for a decent price, but nothing more. I've had better from other Back Market refurbishers.

The device was delivered on time, with signature, it is in very good condition, and after the automatic update to Android 9, It works perfectly and the battery life seems OK, so everything's fine. Well done to the workshop's refurbishers!

A Galaxy S8 that's as good as new and functional, albeit on the 3rd try. I had to send back two S8s from the same retailer, Handydortmund, with fairly obvious problems, even though I'd chosen them in very good condition (the 1st had a faulty microphone, a slight pixel problem and disappointing battery life; the 2nd clearly had a poorly installed/defective battery, with system alerts as soon as it was recharged for the first time and it was impossible to charge it when it was switched off). Back Market's customer service was very responsive to any problems I had, with smooth returns and refunds within a week, thanks to the one-month trial guarantee. I decided to recommend the same retailer in spite of the problems, because they were the best place to buy a refurbished s8 at the start of 2023 (best prices, the only one with a 2-year commercial warranty) and also, I had ordered a Galaxy s7 from them 3 years ago which worked very well for 2 and a half years of intense use. The vagaries of refurbishing I guess?

An instrument that meets my expectations very well: not very big, good reception, interesting functions, good ergonomics, very good battery life. I had a bit of trouble with the lock setting, which went on quickly despite a longer setting request. I don't understand everything. Another problem is that voice input for text messages requires an internet connection, which wasn't the case on my old phone. I imagine that's the case with all new generation phones, unfortunately! But I have to admit that I don't like being permanently connected to the network. For me it's a bit annoying but too bad unless someone knows how to change this setting. In any case, I'd recommend this phone. With the right protection, it's a safe bet.
