iPhone 13 mini, the most compact phone on the market today

This is the smallest of the two models, with extremely small dimensions, yet it has the largest screen! Its OLED screen measures 5.4 inches, but is accompanied by a large notch (for Face ID facial recognition). The iPhone SE 2 has a 4.7-inch LCD panel, giving you a full-screen experience but without Face ID. As a result it looks more elegant and unlocks with the famous Touch ID fingerprint sensor instead.

The iPhone 13 mini is better at photography. Its front sensor is the same as the SE model (12 Mpx), but it has an additional cinematic video mode - this is not the case with the iPhone SE. For the back camera, it stands out for the presence of an Ultra Wide Angle lens, which is absent on iPhone SE too.

Slightly less powerful than its competitor when it comes to video, the iPhone SE 2020 remains a very good smartphone. It's powerful and still relatively new in the market, and should benefit from Apple's software updates for a long time. It also has some of the same components as the iPhone 13 mini, but differs in that it has the A13 Bionic chip whereas the the 13 mini has an A15 chip instead.

In terms of price the the gap widens. There is a difference of several hundred pounds between the two models, thus meeting the expectations of different users.

The iPhone SE 2020 is almost half the price of the iPhone 13 mini and is ideal for basic smartphone use. It's comfortable in all applications and will stay with you for a long time. The iPhone 13 mini on the other hand, stands out for its photographic prowess. If the quality of the camera sensors in your future device is important to you, as is its performance, then the iPhone 13 mini is the best choice.
