I was looking to replace my HP laptop with a smaller device that I could also use as a tablet. On paper, the Dell has everything I needed - plenty of RAM and a decent processor. Unfortunately, on arrival, it has a US keyboard, but has been set up with a UK keyboard in Windows 11. I logged a service request and subsequently returned the laptop. It transpired that these laptops are US spec and also refurbished in the US. The supplier had no equivalent laptops with a UK keyboard, however, they agreed to send me a set of UK keyboard stickers - I was a bit dubious at first, but when they arrived, they were of professional quality. The laptop is in excellent condition and does everything I want it to and is much faster than the newer HP I replaced. I have subsequently purchased a Dell port replicator and a Dell active pen for it. I would recommend Back Market for any future purchases.

This was a completely worthwhile purchase. The way it functions and operates, I would not be able to tell that it was refurbished. Additionally, communicating with the Back Market team is very easy and their suppliers are just as cooperative. When they didn't have the original model that I wanted to buy, they tried to contact me repeatedly. 7 times as well as a message on the site. They even tried to contact me outside of their office hours to inform me. So I am impressed and pleased with the service and I have recommended this company to my mother for her next laptop purchase as well!

As for the laptop itself, no problems at all: it's clean, functional and the battery holds up well. I also appreciated having the drivers already downloaded, even though I don't use them (I use Linux). A nice gesture from the vendor. It's a shame, though, that this excellent machine comes with an absolutely pathetic power charger, which isn't super secure and is probably more expensive than anything I've found elsewhere, which I was obliged to buy (€20) because the one supplied, which isn't original, is such a bummer. What a waste. The same goes for the notable absence of the USB-C to USB-A converter (which is normally sold with this laptop). So much for "reconditioning" --' In the end, I had to buy all the accessories new. Having said that, and looking at the accessories alone, I think it still deserves a good score, even though it needed so little to be so much better...

The delivery went smoothly and on time. The laptop arrived in near-perfect condition, as advertised. The offering was even better than advertised - 16GB RAM instead of 8GB as advertised and a brilliant 4K screen instead of 1080p as advertised. All in all, a good machine after 1.5 weeks of use. However, I'm going to return it because of a major and more or less personal problem: the 4K screen is glossy/glossy (anti-reflection) and not matt/matte (anti-glare). The colours are beautiful and vivid, but I bought it to work mainly on editing and reading text (not just video editing). Reading on a glossy screen causes me a lot of eye strain and headaches, which is a great shame because the laptop is otherwise good. I recommend backmarket update the description of this dell to include more details about the screen (4k glossy/anti-reflective). (PS: there were other issues such as screen flicker [automatic screen brightness adaptation] and performance lag, but these have been resolved by software configurations and reducing the screen resolution to 1080p for faster performance).

The laptop I bought is a Dell XPS 9380 in excellent conditions. The PC I received is more in 'good' rather in 'excellent' conditions, since excellent is meant to be like new one. That aside, the laptop had a battery issue. The one which was sent to me had a battery life that was at 50% of its original, yet the BackMarket service helped me to send it back and the seller promptly replaced the battery with a new one. The warranty worked just fine. Everything else in the laptop is okay. The components in the hardware are in great conditions according to the analysis done via Dell Support Assist. Overall, the seller is legit. He/she can improve for sure its service by making sure laptops don't need to be sent back in order to get as they should have been at first, but at least if there is a problem, it can be fixed without any issue.
